Although I arrived in Japan for my graduate program at Kyoto University of the Arts in 2019, I decided to enroll in Japanese Language School Spring 2021. Through my time in Kyoto I experienced a shift from the COVID-19 pandemic. My daily changed, but slowly shifted into a sense of normalcy. Throughout this time, convenience stores have been a life-line for everyday essentials. After shifting from online classes, I begun to take the bus each day to language school. Pictured here is my bus reflecting the lights of the 7/11 closest to my apartment after I returned from a day out in Kyoto.
